Journey to the Self
Imagine, embark, deepen into your Journey to the Self. Honor your emergent path with integral coaching or spiritual support sessions, accompanied by integral minister, teacher, and National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Rev. Benjamin DeShazo-Couchot.
Sessions are 50 minutes and held one-to-one.
Some people come with something specific: a decision, a transition, or a question they are trying to work through. Others arrive with a general sense that something in their life needs to be more clearly understood or more fully met.
This is not therapy. There is no diagnosis or treatment.
Instead, this is a space and a time for reflection and engagement with your experience and values. Over time, insight can develop, and movement can begin to take shape toward something more authentic for you.
Integral Coaching & Spiritual Care
You may begin with a single session, or enter into a short series of sessions to support more sustained work.

Ben is a community minister, integral coach, educator, and musician from Sonoma County, California, serving the Greater SF Bay Area and individuals from around the nation.
Since 2022, he has served as Care Line Director in multi-faith community with the San Francisco Night Ministry, where he trains and mentors caregivers in a reflective, presence-based model of spiritual care. In this role, he provides direct support to individuals on the margins of society. Additionally, Ben serves as the Program & Music Director for Singers of the Street, a unique choir and fellowship program for homeless and formerly homeless individuals and their community allies.
An ordained minister in interfaith community and a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), Ben holds an M.A. in Church Music & Liturgy, with capstone research in communal grief processing rituals grounded in Francis Weller's archetypal grief theory. He also holds an M.Th. and a Certificate of Interfaith Chaplaincy from The New Seminary for Interfaith Studies, where he was honored with the Howard Thurman Building Community Award and the Swami Satchidananda Founders' Award for "promoting sacred arts, healing, and education to the community at large." His current doctoral research explores how engaging emotional and spiritual intelligences through holistic coaching fosters more authentic and impactful leadership.
Formed by contemplative practice, ongoing Clinical Pastoral Education, and a practicum in holistic/integral coaching methods with the Wisdom of the Whole Coaching Academy, Ben’s work integrates emotional, spiritual, and relational awareness. His approach is designed to be spacious, non-directive, and life-affirming.
